Tour Details: We take the 8:30am barge to the island and return 4:00pm barge on the last day.Group briefings are held at the Backpackers Hostel in Hervey Bay. Everybody must attend the meeting at 6:30am, morning of departure. Group shopping is at 4:00pm the day before. Why Book With Us? Exclusive Camp Trailer - You can enjoy the nights in the Australian bush with the comfort of our specially designed camper vans. Camper vans are safe & easy to drive and allow all of your gear to be securely locked inside the vehicle while you explore Fraser Island. There is radio communication available between vehicles so that points of interest and driving instructions through difficult sections of the sand tracks can be communicated. Most of groups' luggage will be carried in the trained lead driver/guide allowing for uncluttered tour vehicles. A specially designed base camp trailer will provide covered cooking and food preparation facilities, tables and chairs around camp, so that you can prepare and eat meals without needing to sit in the sand, or be exposed to bad weather.
