Description: Sixteen nautical miles from the mainland is a place which is renowned as one of the world’s most famous beaches. It is an exciting 2½ hour sail to Whitehaven Beach. Spend up to 2 hours relaxing at one of the world's most beautiful beaches. The water at Whitehaven is usually crystal clear, so it’s a great spot to enjoy a swim in the warm tropical waters of The Whitsundays. You may even sight a turtle surfacing for air! Beach cricket, volleyball, frisbee and other activities are available for those that feel the need to expend some energy whilst on the beach. A picnic lunch is served under the shade of the trees lining the beach. Your picnic is an informal affair and yet the menu is exotic. We have a selection of fresh tortilla rolls with satay chicken or vegetarian salad, rare roast beef and salad rolls and a fresh Queensland tropical fruit platter. A gourmet afternoon platter is served on our return sail to the mainland. Sail home past Hamilton Island, South Molle Island and Long Island for some very interesting and dramatic scenery to top off a day trip that is a must for every visitor to the Whitsundays!
